What is CompactBSD?

CompactBSD is a set of tools that allow you to compress OpenBSD onto a small (32MB) compact flash card for use in small embedded servers. CompactBSD can be used to power wireless hot spots, which is what FatPort uses it for.

Visit the SourceForge project page for more details.

Who do I ask for help?

If you have questions about CompactBSD, consult the project mailing lists.

Other resources

CompactBSD contains elements of flashdist, a very well maintained tool that lets you easily build an embedded firewall.
